"Sprite sheet builder software automates the creation of sprite sheets from image sequences." (15 words)
With Sheets, you can select multiple files in Finder and then click-drag them while opening up Dashboard. Once you release within the drop area, Sheets is able to automatically gather the rest of the images for the sequence. It's also capable of handling single images from numerical series.
One of the standout features of Sheets is its ability to sort files lexicographically, so you get the best results if your images have full serial numbers (0000 through 0100, for example). While groups of files can contain any number of files with various names, Sheets can handle it with ease.
Finally, the output filename is taken from the first image in the series, replacing the frame number with a title set in the preferences. So, a group of images starting with animation_ver1_0000.png by default will result in animation_ver1_spriteSheet.png. Overall, Sheets is an essential tool for any designer or developer working on sprite sheets.
