A fairly standard waveshaping distortion plugin, made more interesting through the use of feedback to control the shaping
Version: 1.00Setting the Source switch to Env and turning up the Feedback uses the amplitude envelope of the input signal to control the shaping of the distortion, resulting in a kind of gating effect.
Operating System: Mac OS X
Switching the Source switch to Wave will mean that the shaping is controlled by the instantaneous output of the plugin, resulting in an abrasive, harsh kind of distortion. You should note that the shape control also does act as a volume booster at certain settings.
The name (and those of the presets) comes from the first thing that came to mind: the fantastic 'Soul Force' album by The Dance.
It should go without saying since it's a distortion effect, but beware: this plugin can get pretty loud. You can also find the blender file used to create the gui in the accompanying source code zip, if you're interested in that kind of thing.
Installation: Copy the SoulForce.vst file into your vst plugins directory (usually ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST).
