Sound Shuffler - Randomize/add system alert sounds
Version: 1.7Sick of the default alert sounds that came with your Mac? We are too. This Prefpane will allow you to randomize the beep, each time it occurs.
Operating System: Mac OS X
It also features a random sound feature, where it will randomly play sounds at an interval of your choice.
You can also insert your own sounds to the mix. Everytime your system throws an alert beep at you, you'll be welcomed with a randomly picked sound effect instead. Sound Shuffler has two sound playing engines.
One uses QuickTime to do the work, which means you can replace your system beep with any format sound that QuickTime supports. Examples are AIFF, MP3, WAV (Windows format), etc.
The other engine is an updated version of the one used with the original Sound Shuffler for Mac OS Classic. This handles the older Mac style 'System 7' sounds. Just drop your sounds into the designated sounds folder, and Sound Shuffler begins using them in place of the beep immediately.
