This is an open-source plug-in called QuickLook that enables preview capabilities of source code files that support syntax coloring.
Source Code Highlighting is powered by GeSHi, the Generic Syntax Highlighter engine, which supports numerous languages. With this generator, you can also view property lists (plists) in XML format, even if you prefer another storage format.
As an attempt to avoid long processing times, the generator restricts a maximum file size of 512KB (set in the source code). The generator quickly identifies the syntax highlighting of each source file using the UTI (Uniform Type Identifier). The UTI to GeSHi Type Mapping configuration is contained in “UTI to GeSHi Type Mapping.plist,” located in the binary bundle and the source distribution.
Implementation is simple. Just install GeSHi Source Code Highlighter.qlgenerator in /Library/QuickLook/ and reset Quick Look by either logging out or running qlmanage -r. Enjoy an optimized coding experience with Source Code Highlighting.
