Steal a Sig is a signature utility tool, designed to provide the ultimate solution for a seamless signature process.
The application allows users to take text from various sources and compile it into a form that Entourage can understand. For instance, if you select text from within a message, Steal a Sig will use that selection. If there is no text selected, but there is text on the clipboard, the software will use that. And if there is no text selected, and no text on the clipboard, the software will present you with an empty dialog box to compose your signature.
Steal a Sig offers a variety of convenient command options that users can execute by selecting a single word before running the script. When a word is selected, and the script is run, commands such as "Separator," "Random," "Export," and "Import" can be carried out, among others.
The "Separator" command allows you to define the separator you want to use when creating all future signatures. The default separator is "-- " (dash, dash, space). The "Random" command is used to define whether all future signatures will be included in the "Random sigs" list, and you can choose either "yes," "No," or "Ask each time."
The "Default" command enables you to define some default text that will be added to each signature you create. Additionally, you can declare whether you want this default text to appear above or below the signature.
Users can export all their signatures to a text file using the "Export" command and import signatures from a text file in the format created by "export" using the "Import" command. The "Clear" command will delete ALL your current signatures, so users are advised to export them before running this command.
Lastly, the "Help" command displays a message window with a comprehensive description of these commands in the body. Overall, Steal a Sig is an excellent utility for anyone who regularly creates and imports signatures.
