Stomp protocol ensures trustable messaging thanks to its reliability.
The program’s topics are stored in memory only. While you are free to select activerecord, file, or dbm storage and use the queues that work best for you, topics will only be stored in memory. One of the more powerful free alternatives to StompServer is ActiveMQ. However, this requires deploying a JVM, which may not always be ideal.
To run StompServer, you need to have EventMachine. Please note that the software does not support server-to-server messaging although you are free to write a client to accomplish this. Finally, it is important to note that StompServer is licensed and distributed under the MIT License.
