Supernova: Galactic Wars is a game that merges the tactical gameplay of chess with the adrenaline-fueled action of a classic arcade shooter. Players can engage in intense battles across multiple galaxies and use their strategic skills to outwit their opponents.
Supernova: Galactic Wars features a total of 20 unique ships for you to control, with each side providing 10 different options. What's more, each ship comes with up to 3 different types of fire, meaning you'll have access to an impressive 26 different weapons. Whether you prefer to play through the Story Mode or the Quickbattle mode, you'll have plenty of opportunities to test your skills on the battlefield.
In Story Mode, you'll lead your faction to victory by conquering the galaxy and defeating your opponents. In Quickbattle mode, you can set up custom matches on one of five different maps, each with their own unique playing strategy. You can even build your own fleet of ships, selecting the perfect combination to ensure victory.
So how does the gameplay work? It's simple: you can move your ships like chess pieces on the battlefield, and when two ships intersect, the arcade-style fun begins. You'll be able to engage in real-time battles against your opponent, using arrow keys to move and 1, 2, 3, or Z, X, C keys to shoot.
To play Supernova: Galactic Wars, you'll need a CPU with at least 450+ MHZ and 256MB of RAM, as well as an OpenGL graphic card with a minimum of 16 MB of memory. The demo version of the game allows you to play up to 3 missions for both sides, and to set up Quickbattles with only 150 credits available and using only the smallest ship.
Overall, we highly recommend giving Supernova: Galactic Wars a try. With its unique blend of chess and arcade-style gameplay, customizable ships and weapons, and engaging Story and Quickbattle modes, this game is a must-play for any strategy game fan.
