Train and station simulation software for playing and experimenting with trains and stations.
TrainPlayer also has a lot of impressive operation features. These include graduated speed control, realistic coupling and uncoupling, one-click switch throw, "yard mode" for controlling speed and direction with a single dial, and horn sounds, among other features that simulate the model railroad experience.
With the zoom feature, users can focus on specific areas and automatically follow the train around the layout. Additionally, multiple trains can be operated simultaneously.
Another module available with TrainPlayer is TrackLayer. This module allows users to draw their tracks, curves, switches, and turntables. The program is optimized for ease of use and rapid drawing of straight track and circular curves. Switches are automatically created when track segments join, and an operating turntable can be created with just a single drag. Even users without a plan image can sketch and test their track plan ideas on a blank page.
TrainPlayer is developed natively on the Mac using Xcode, and it is a fantastic program for anyone looking to recreate the model railroad experience in the comfort of their own home.
