Trilithon Rulers is a screen ruler application that allows users to measure objects on their screen accurately. It is a useful tool for those who need to measure pixel distances and sizes, and can be used for web design, graphic design, and other similar tasks.
One of the standout features of Trilithon Rulers is the ability to use independent horizontal and vertical rulers, which can be locked together if needed. The rulers can measure the vertical axis either from the top down (fourth quadrant) or from the bottom up (first quadrant).
Customization options are abundant in Trilithon Rulers. Users can set the background color to one of eight different colors, including Light Metal and Dark Metal. Crosshairs can be set to one of four different sizes, and crosshair colors can be set to one of twelve different colors. Users can move the rulers around the screen, either by dragging with the mouse or via the arrow keys, and resize them via a resize control on either ruler. The horizontal and vertical rulers can also be locked together so that they move together.
Other features in Trilithon Rulers include an opacity control for setting rulers fully opaque or semi-transparent, zero points that can be set to the left, middle, or right (of the horizontal ruler) or the bottom, middle, or top (of the vertical ruler), and the ability to shift rulers to the edges of the screen. Ruler units include inches graduated in sixteenths, inches graduated in tenths, Picas, Points, Centimeters, Millimeters, Pixels, and Percentage of Length. The scale factors include 100 percent (one for one), 200 percent, 50 percent, 127 percent, and 78 percent. Users can also flip tick marks and captions to either side of each ruler.
Trilithon Rulers also has real-time interactive tracking of the mouse and high-precision display of current coordinates. Users can copy mouse coordinates to the pasteboard using command-C for pasting into other applications and position ruler origins to the current position of the mouse using command-O. The product also remembers settings across sessions.
The only limitation of Trilithon Rulers is that there are only 15 trial uses. However, the features and capabilities of the product make it a worthwhile purchase for users who need extensive measurement and tracking tools on their Mac.
