Virtual BCF2000 is a software that mimics the BCF2000 midi controller and works in conjunction with MidiPipe. It enables users to use the virtual version of the controller for their MIDI related activities.
The software is incredibly easy to use and is designed to be used with MidiPipe. After launching MidiPipe and creating a new pipe with just a midi in element and a midi out element, I launched the BCF2000 application. From there, I was able to select the MidiPipe midi input from the drop down list. This allowed me to easily control Garageband and other programs.
One thing to note is that the controller is set up in line with the Quartz Composer Sysex files published by Steve Mokris. But overall, I was pleased with the software's performance and ease of use.
The latest release has even removed the requirement to use MidiPipe and included bug fixes, making the software even more streamlined and user-friendly. Highly recommended for any fellow BCF2000 users looking for a reliable software alternative.
