Vivid Report is a software library that offers visual components for C++ Builder, enabling users to produce print reports with great complexity.
The library's concept of report design includes multiple pages, child reports and universal bands for data placement. These bands link with data controllers, which act as data containers and display data in bands. By providing these features, Vivid Report eliminates the need for specialized report designers, and offers multiple data usage with the best possible WYSIWYG experience.
With Vivid Report, almost anything is possible: unlimited hierarchy levels of reports, pages and master pages, multiple image placements across various bands and three modes of printing. The library also allows the definition of all sizes and coordinates in various physical measurement units up to 0.01 mm. Bands can be uniquely aligned on a page, and all text objects (strings and rich texts) can be formatted independently of the current device resolution. Bands and graphical images feature true transparency, and data can be retrieved in two ways - via data containers or a database.
Vivid Report also boasts a grid component that allows for the creation of the 1D and 2D tables of a very complex structure. The library can print values of currency independently of current regional Windows settings and supports twenty types of barcodes. A customizable print progress window and full-functional preview of the print are also available.
Finally, Vivid Report is 100% VCL library, written in C++. This allows for seamless integration into other software projects built in the same environment. Overall, Vivid Report is a powerful reporting tool suitable for users looking for high-quality printing capabilities with multiple formatting options.
