WoaS is a self-contained wiki software that requires only a single XHTML file for operation. It allows users to create, edit, and share content in a collaborative environment without the need for external databases or servers.
One of the most impressive features of WoaS is its true AES encryption of pages. Users can lock and unlock pages using the apposite icons on each page, and when a page is locked, it gets encrypted with true AES encryption. The software also offers support for custom javascript, allowing users to add tags that will be correctly rendered in the document tag upon page loading. External scripts can also be parsed and activated, always respecting the order of declaration of the tags.
WoaS offers support for namespaces, allowing users to designate specific namespaces for their pages. There are also reserved namespaces for future use to improve the user's experience. Users can also use tags that are listed in the Tagged:: special namespace page, making it easier to sort and find particular pages.
The software supports transclusion, allowing users to include a page within another using a specific syntax. This feature is parametric, enabling users to specify parameters replaced into the transcluded page in place of %1, %2, %3... Transclusion has a special meaning when used for pages relative to the File:: and Image:: namespaces. Additionally, users can embed files and images within WoaS.
Finally, exporting all the WoaS content into multiple XHTML, CSS and image files is possible since v0.9.5B. The export interface is always available at the Special::Export page. Overall, Wiki on a Stick is an outstanding, highly versatile wiki software that offers a wide range of features and functionalities to users.
