This software is a simple and free graphical analysis tool that allows users to analyze combat logs from World of Warcraft effortlessly.
The software has an intuitive user interface that consists of a document window with various plots arranged horizontally. Each plot can have multiple stacks representing an individual contribution to the overall data. Enemy mob markers are highlighted in red (if they appear in the plot's filtered combat log events), and other annotations, if available, are shown in gray.
Furthermore, each stack can be split into its varied parts, and this can be done in many ways, depending on the combat log events that constitute the current stack. For instance, a "DPS Out" plot can be separated by destination (to whom the damage was done) or on the source (who did the damage).
WowPlot offers different usage hints, such as control or right-clicking on a stack to open the context-menu for splitting. Holding the Alt(⌥)-key while using the "split by" or context menu can create new plots for each newly-created item. Double-clicking on a stack creates a new plot from it, while command(⌘)+double-clicking replaces the current plot with a plot of only the clicked stack. Additionally, tab(⇥) and backtab(⇤) can cycle through all the stacks of the current plot, with a slightly lighter background to distinguish it.
In summary, WowPlot is an exceptional software that evaluates combat performance based on time-dependent metrics in a flexible, free-form manner. Its interface is easy to navigate, offering multiple ways to split data and providing many usage hints to promote ease of use.
