WP-Digest notifies subscribers of fresh WordPress blog posts via email at periodic intervals.
One of the best features of WP-Digest is that the first time it runs, it operates on the last n entries made on your blog. After this, it saves the ID of your last blog entry in a cache file. On subsequent runs, it can therefore operate on however many entries have been made since the previous run. Users can manually control the value of n by changing $MinPosts in conf.php.
Users must have a working WordPress installation on a Unix/Linux host and access to the lynx web browser (type "which lynx" to verify). Users must also have the ability to run cron jobs.
Furthermore, WP-Digest has an impressive set of new features in this release. Now users can send plain text or HTML-formatted (multipart) email. This new feature aids the users in better notifying their subscribers by giving a choice of how the email is formatted. In conclusion, WP-Digest is a feature-rich software tool that offers users an effortless method of notifying their subscribers of new blog entries.
