X-ray plug-in for Adobe InDesign/InCopy lets users set opacity for all panels within InDesign, simplifying the design process for users.
X-ray allows you to set the opacity level for every panel in InDesign, giving you the ability to adjust the transparency of all the essential tools that obstruct your view while working. With the plugin, you can have some panels at 20% transparency and still be able to use them effectively, while keeping your design visible.
One thing to note is that X-ray has a 14-day trial but requires Adobe InDesign CS or CS2 to operate.
In the latest release, X-ray has addressed issues with transparency of palettes in the left dock (Mac only) and palettes stacked on top of each other. A bug causing incorrect transparency in the Windows version has also been fixed.
Overall, X-ray is a helpful tool for designers who are struggling with limited screen space but don't want to invest in a second monitor.
