Xaomp is a Mac OS X client designed for accessing mp3sparks.com, a popular Russian music service. It was previously known as Allofmp3 and enables users to easily download and stream music from the platform.
Using the CURLHandle, ID3 Tag and Ogg/Vorbis frameworks, Xaomp automatically establishes an HTTP-connection to the network, downloads tracks you've ordered, and extracts metatags to maintain an organized directory structure on the filesystem. It's an efficient system that helps keep your music library neatly organized.
As with any software, there are limitations to what Xaomp can do. Currently, it only supports .mp3 and .ogg audio files, and defaults to saving files as %Artist/%Album/%Tracknumber.%Title.%Format. Keep in mind that Xaomp is released under the BSD License.
One other limitation is that Xaomp does not resume downloads, so if you experience a connection error or interruption, you'll have to start the download process over again. However, if you are looking for a reliable and easy-to-use client for mp3sparks.com on your Mac, Xaomp is definitely worth a look.
