Xtags for QuarkXPress provides improved markup tags for Quark, allowing for enhanced document formatting and organization.
When it comes to document building processes driven by a database such as picture-based data publishing, books, catalogs, classified ads, etc., Xtags provides users with the option to create complex documents easily using their preferred data-side environment. From the end-user's standpoint, no technical knowledge is required, and it's easy to use. Users can produce catalogs, one-to-one marketing, TV guides, directories, real estate guides, trader and swap magazines, phone books, classified advertising, and many other types of finished documents.
Xtags functionality is impressive, creating text content with full styling, anchored and unanchored boxes and rules, size boxes to their contents, group multiple items together, apply master pages, and control many other aspects of document building. It integrates with InCatalog, therefore, users can build a document and update their data being used at any time without having to rebuild their document. Additionally, Xtags is available for both Mac OS and Windows, ensuring its versatility.
Additional features in this release include the ability to revert to the paragraph style's character attributes easily, better pathway naming for long filenames and improved error messages in addition to resolving an issue with the print suppression flag. Users must note that QuarkXPress 4 or 6 is required to use Xtags. In summary, Xtags is a powerful tool that provides users with the power to create complex documents with ease.
