FTP client for windows by Labtam ProFTP

ProFTP is an FTP client that is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, 2003, VISTA, 2008, 7, and 2008R2. With this program, you can easily transfer files between your PC and remote computer using the ARPANET standard File Transfer Protocol.

ProFTP can transfer files in two different format types: ASCII format is used for text files, and Binary format is used for image files. To use this program, your machine must be configured for TCP/IP network communication or Internet access. You can gain access through the use of Winsock and any dial-up provider, a Remote Access Server (RAS), or a direct connection via a local area network that supports TCP/IP.

For FTP to communicate with a remote computer, that computer must have a server implementation of FTP (FTP server based on TCP/IP transports). You can only be connected to one remote computer at a time during an FTP session. However, you can run multiple FTP sessions (FTP clients) simultaneously in separate windows, with each session connected to a different host.

ProFTP also supports existing SSH connections, with the "Dynamic Forwarding" Telnet/SSH feature available in Passive mode. Additionally, the usual Telnet/SSH Forwarding feature may be used in non-Passive mode, but to use this feature, you must use SSHPro software by Labtam. This feature is included as standard in the XSecurePro software package.
