Axdea

Axdea is a free 3D CAD software that focuses on BIM-based IBS scoring. Developed by Innovacia Sdn Bhd, Axdea was launched at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre during the International Construction Week in March 2018. The software is designed specifically for the Malaysian Construction Industry and is fully customised for the IBS scoring system based on the standard.

As part of its support for the local construction industry, Innovacia Sdn Bhd announced that Axdea software will be distributed for free with no limitations. Axdea is equipped with various features, including automatic calculation of IBS scores, BIM-based modelling, spreadsheet functions, and task-oriented design tools.

The software supports material and IFC files, and users can extract data from the models to a spreadsheet and export it to a CSV format. Task-oriented design tools, such as architectural, mechanical, structural, drafting, simulation, and others, are grouped into workbenches for user convenience. Additionally, Axdea has a full parametric modelling software based on properties for precision, and the modular architecture allows for additional functionality through macros and Python scripts.

Axdea also allows for numerous import and export formats, including STEP, IGES, OBJ, STL, DXF, SVG, STL, DAE, IFC, NASTRAN, VRML, and many more. The software even supports DWG format through Teigha converter, making it versatile enough for any user need. Moreover, Axdea is 3D printing ready and can generate IBS score reports in PDF format for printout or submission to other parties.
