This XML-based software accommodates infinite banner images for embedding in HTML. The software requires images to have identical size and aspect ratio. Clicking on a banner executes a getURL command with the URL and target parameter.

Setting up this rotator is a breeze. Start by making your banner images at the same size and aspect ratio, or use interactive SWF files. Next, resize the rectangular placeholder on the stage to match the dimensions of your images, and publish the new SWF file. Then embed it in your HTML page, making sure that the width and height of your flash object match the size of your banners.
Once your SWF file is ready, edit the XML file with the paths to the banners and specify the delay between slides by altering the "time" attribute (in seconds). You can either leave the default name for the XML file (data.xml) or specify a new one via flashvars.
Importing the component into another project is a snap. Simply copy the Library folder, "OXYLUS Banner Rotator," into your project's Library. Make sure to include the subfolders "oxylus" and "caurina" into the root of your project's directory so that the scripts can be accessible. Then drag the "OXYLUS Banner Rotator / Banner Rotator" symbol from the Library onto your stage, and use the script inside the first frame of your source file to get it working.
This package includes FLA, opens with Flash 8 and Flash CS3, and is compatible with ActionScript 2.0. It's viewable with Flash Player 8 and above, making it accessible to a wide range of users. Enjoy the ease of use and convenience of this banner rotator software!
