PEN - Pennock's Email Notifier

I recently had the pleasure of testing PEN, an email notifier software that I found to be extremely user-friendly and easy to set up. The software sits in the SysTray and pops up a small, non-intrusive window and/or plays a sound, alerting the user whenever new mail arrives in their mailbox.

One of the standout features of PEN is the ability to choose between different pop-up styles or create your own. Additionally, the software supports an unlimited amount of POP3 accounts, even over SSL, as well as IMAP, AOL, Excite, Gmail, Hotmail, Netscape, Lycos, Mail.com, MSN, and Yahoo web-based mailboxes.

Users can also preview the subject or the mail itself before deciding to open it, and unwanted mail can be deleted immediately without the need to start the email program. PEN also checks for updates automatically and notifies the user if a new version is available, making software maintenance hassle-free.

One feature that I appreciated was the simple junk-mail detection that PEN offers. It's a great addition to the software, and genuinely helps users to keep their mailbox organized.

Overall, I would highly recommend PEN for anyone who is looking for an email notifier software that is easy to use, has excellent features, and supports multiple email account types.
