The ProNew software allows users to create projects with several files instead of just single documents, and automatically opens these projects upon creation. This expands upon the default "New" command menu in Windows.
To start using ProNew, simply follow these steps:
1. Open the software and click on "Options".
2. Click on the "New Project" button and select a folder for your project, such as "MyProject".
3. If your project has a main file, select it using the second combobox and then mark it as the main file by clicking on the "Main File" button. If you want ProNew to automatically open the main file for you, make sure to check the "Auto Open" checkbox.
4. Close the ProNew Editor.
5. Right-click on your Desktop and select the New command. You should see a new item called "pronew_MyProject". Select it and a file will appear on your desktop. Press Enter and the ProNew dialog box will appear.
6. If you don't want to change the names of your project or main file, simply press Enter again and a new folder named "MyProject" will be created on your desktop. However, if you want to change the names, you can input something like "project1\cool" before you press Enter to create a new name for both the project and main file. Alternatively, input "project1\" to only change the name of the project, or "\cool" to only change the name of the main file.
Overall, ProNew is a powerful tool for anyone who wants more flexibility and control over their projects. With its intuitive interface and customizable options, creating and managing projects has never been easier.
