SQLAPI++ is a C++ Library that allows for easy access to various SQL databases such as Oracle, SQLServer, and Sybase, among others.
What impressed me most was the low-level interface that the product provides, which allowed me to access database-specific features that typically require deep knowledge of the vendor's API. By encapsulating a vendor's API, SQLAPI++ acted as middleware and delivered database portability.
SQLAPI++ currently supports several servers, including Oracle Database Server (OCI7, OCI8), Microsoft SQL Server (DB-Library), DB2 (DB2 CLI), Informix, Sybase, Interbase, Centura (formerly Gupta) SQLBase (CAPI), and ODBC. This diverse range of supported servers is a huge plus for developers who need to work with various databases.
The library also supports popular C++ compilers such as Microsoft Visual C++, Borland C++, and Borland C++ Builder. Overall, SQLAPI++ is an excellent tool for developers who need to work with multiple SQL databases and require a low-level interface to access database-specific features. I highly recommend the library to anyone looking for a robust and versatile solution.
