Wake550 is a software that enables users to wake up a sleeping computer remotely via a LAN network. The tool is designed to save time and energy by allowing quick and easy access to a dormant computer without the need for physical interaction.
Although the program is designed for Mac OS X, it is possible for Windows machines to be awoken as well, provided that they are equipped with a Wake-On-LAN compatible ethernet card. However, it is important to note that Wake550 is unable to awaken a computer that is only connected to the network via Airport, as the Airport antenna of the target machine will power down while asleep.
Wake550 comes equipped with a Service Menu Item that further simplifies its use. Users can select a list of MAC Addresses separated by a single character, such as a return, semi-colon, space, or other such separator, and the program will send the wake message to each of the specified machines.
Overall, Wake550 is a convenient and user-friendly software that enables users to turn on their sleeping computers with ease.
