The 123 Flash Chat Server is a chat server that features a Flash-based client for easy interaction.
The software allows users to organize chat events, collaborative work sessions, and online meetings reliably. Moreover, the interface and function are customizable to suit users' needs.
One of the key features of 123 Flash Chat is its high reliability, scalability, and high load support. With a fully multi-threaded communications engine, the server software can support hundreds of web chat rooms and thousands of visitors without any degradation in response time.
Additionally, the chat speed is faster with cut-edge technology because the 123 Flash Web Chat client is made with 100% pure Macromedia flash, and the powerful java server supports multi-thread communication, providing faster loading speed than regular java applet clients.
The software also can integrate with existing portal or forums databases to authorize user login information by a dynamic web application. Users can access the chat room without entering the login information again once they have logged in to their portal or forum.
123 Flash Chat can listen to a low port like 80 or 443 and now automatically detects the language of the user system and assigns the corresponding language of the chat interface to the user.
There's also an AD banner feature that allows chat room owners to insert JPG or swf banners into chat rooms to make money out of it. Cross-domain-policy is added to restrict access from other domains for security reasons.
Finally, the software is compatible with different platforms like Windows NT/2000/XP, Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP Unix, and Mac. However, it requires Sun J2SDK1.4.x to run.
The latest release includes an optional Chat Room Remote Controller (MSN edition) that allows chat room moderators to keep an eye on the chat room from anywhere. The optional avatar chat module now comes with an "init_avatar" parameter to pre-define the user avatar's gender, with four cool choices provided. The admin panel has also been improved.
