This software is a robust fax server system offering a wide range of advanced features to users.
ActFax has been built to function smoothly on any Windows version from Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista (Server and Workstation edition), Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) and also supports terminal servers. Thanks to the client/server architecture of ActFax, all data is stored centrally on the fax server.
The software makes faxing as simple and effortless as printing from any standard application with its integrated fax client and ActFax printer driver. To integrate its fax service into own applications, ActFax offers various standardized interfaces.
The user-friendly and intuitive interface makes setting up and configuring ActFax a breeze, even for those who may not have extensive technical expertise. Automated hardware detection and configuration reduce the time needed for the software to be ready for operation.
Sending fax messages with ActFax is just as simple and fast as printing a document on paper. Users can fax or email a document with ActFax by selecting the ActiveFax printer as the destination printer while using the printing function in any application. ActFax then displays a dialog window requesting the recipient (or a list of recipients) of the message on the screen, with central and private phonebooks assisting the user in case they need any help.
The software automatically transfers the document to the fax server and stores the fax for automatic transmission as soon as possible depending on priority and available fax lines. In case of failed transmissions, ActFax automatically repeats the call using groundbreaking redialing techniques. The owner of the document receives automatic sending reports, email notifications, or results through a pop-up window on the fax client, keeping them informed about the transmission status.
