Anthias is a graphical shell for data analysis built on top of Python, offering interactive visualization and analysis tools.
Anthias is built on QT and KDE, providing a stable and robust platform for its users. To compile the software, the system requirements include QT 4.0, which must be installed and pointed to by the environment variable, QTDIR. To complete the compilation process, carry out the following commands:
> $QTDIR/qmake -project
> $QTDIR/qmake
> make
Furthermore, the new release of Anthias comes with several improvements, including a demo shell that communicates over a socket with the Anthias terminal. Although the demo shell currently provides only a list of completions, a basic completion system has been added to the software.
With the recent update, the terminal now shows completion options for program names while general file system completions are still being developed. In summary, Anthias is an excellent software solution that provides a compelling combination of command-line functionality and a graphical user interface.
