Bitcontro MPEG-2/4 decoder is a DirectShow filter for Windows Media Player on XP and Vista32/64. Supporting ISO MPEG-2/4 and H.263 video standards, it offers DXVA 1.0/2.0, HDTV, and 4:2:0, 4:2:2, 4:4:4 compatibility for high-quality decoding.
Running seamlessly on MS Windows(r) from Win98 till Vista 32 / 64, this software can be used alongside other multimedia players which can load DirectShow(r) filters. Not only is bitcontrol(r) MPEG decoder very robust against input failures such as dropouts of input stream, bit errors, and other signal failures, but it is also perfect for DVB-T, DVB-S, and internet streaming applications.
With the capability of real-time decoding of MPEG video bitstreams of all profiles and all levels up to High Levels with 80 Mbps, including 4:2:2 und 4:4:4 chroma formats, the bitcontrol(r) MPEG-2 / 4 decoder is fully compatible with ISO MPEG-2 / 4 and H.263 video standards – and supports DXVA 1.0 / 2.0 (Vista), HDTV, 4:2:0, 4:2:2, 4:4:4, YUV, and RGB overlay.
Although minor, the software does not support scalable mode features such as "Spatial" and "SNR". The bitcontrol(r) MPEG-2 Audio Decoder supports the audio formats MPEG-1 Layer 1 / 2, and LPCM. For video files which use the AC-3 audio code, third-party audio filters must be used.
The bitcontrol(r) MPEG decoder is optimized for Intel(r) MMX-, SSE-, SSE2 or SSE3-equipped and multicore processors. It runs on all suitable Intel(r) Pentium(r) processors greater Pentium(r) II, 300 MHz (CIF format).
With additional features like overlay rendering of bitmaps with 7-Bit alpha blending, freeze frame as JPEG-file, clock rendering, and more, this software is an excellent choice for anyone who needs top-quality decoders for their various multimedia applications.
