This software is a programming language specifically designed to generate graphical elements.
To enable the detection and usage of the Cairo 2D graphic library, use the '--with-cairo' flag. Whilst it is not required, it does offer some additional features (as outlined later). For a localized installation, use the command './configure --prefix=/home/yourusername/local --with-cairo', before running 'make' and 'make install'.
After installation, you may need to guide your system to the Box executable. This can be done by adding 'export PATH=$PATH:~/local/bin' at the end of the bashrc file in your home directory (which is a hidden file: '~/.bashrc'). Note that this step is not critical, but it will make using Box smoother.
To check that the installation has been successful, run the 'make check' command. You should receive a message saying: '0 errors found. All tests performed led to success.'
One feature of Box is its use of the Cairo 2D graphic library, which enables support for PDF, SVG, PNG, and PS output terminals. Furthermore, as Development continues, Cairo will be more widely-utilised giving Box some remarkable features. So, remember to compile Box with the '--with-cairo' flag.
