Fischerscope-parse is a PHP script that extracts data from WinHCU, a software that comes with the Fischerscope H100 nanoindenter. It streamlines data parsing for nanoindentation experiments.
Another essential feature of the software is its ability to correct bad exports. WinHCU software discards measurements, and exporting the data results in a mix of the original and modified data in CSV format. However, Fischerscope Parse addresses this issue by correcting the exports, ensuring accurate data collection.
Furthermore, Fischerscope Parse rearranges data into readable formats, which makes it easier to read and match the data. While WinHCU software contains data in two blocks each with different structures, Fischerscope Parse rearranges the data into an easily readable and organized form.
The software can perform AVRG/STDEV statistics of measured data, a task that WinHCU software cannot do. Additionally, it prints averages and errors which can be imported into common plotting software such as GNUPlot or Origin. The results can either be displayed and discarded or stored temporarily.
To install the software, simply unzip the package somewhere beneath the server root and set the ownership to the httpd's user. The script will ask users to upload a zip archive containing the exported CSV files. Please note that the zip archive cannot have a structure such as directories, but once the files are uploaded, parsed data is presented on a HTML page.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the documentation was vastly improved in the latest version of the software, which includes added examples. Overall, Fischerscope Parse is an excellent software with numerous features, including data correction, statistics, and an easy-to-use interface.
