GUnit is a C testing framework that follows the principles of JUnit for unit testing.
Installation is a breeze with GUnit. Simply navigate to the directory containing the package's source code and use `./configure' to configure the package for your system. Note that if you're using `csh' on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure' instead to prevent `csh' from trying to execute `configure' itself.
Running `configure' takes some time, but this process prints helpful messages that tell you which features it is checking for. Once complete, use `make' to compile the package, and optionally, use `make check' to run any self-tests that come with the package.
If you're satisfied with your testing, use `make install' to install the programs and any data files and documentation. Additionally, you can use `make clean' to remove program binaries and object files from the source code directory. And, if you need to compile the package for a different computer, use `make distclean' to remove the files that `configure' created.
A broken pkg-config file was fixed in the newest release of GUnit. Users and developers will enjoy the many benefits that this C unit testing framework brings to their coding projects.
