The KTU project enables retrieval of translations from KDE's svn through software.
This latest release boasts several new and exciting features, including support for custom paths for KBabel, removal of several memory leaks, and an improved first-run dialog that checks requirements in advance. The stats function has also been updated to work seamlessly with translated msgfmt files, without blocking the interface, while a new link-back feature provides an easy way to provide feedback.
To help streamline the user experience, this release also makes use of a lightweight sqlite database for storage of install state, and enables users to fetch all translations for a given module or language with just a few clicks. Finally, a quick search line has been added to help users quickly find the translations they need.
Overall, the KTU project is an incredibly useful tool for anyone working with translations on a regular basis, and this latest release adds even more value with its many new and improved features. So why not give it a try and see how it can help improve your workflow today? And as always, the KTU team welcomes feedback and ideas from users to help make future versions even better.
