Mapiso organizes images on Linux computers through Perl/Tk programming.
Mapiso presents all the JPEG images of a specified folder in a single window. Users can also open numerous windows and copy, cut, and paste pictures from one directory to another using their mouse. Moreover, Mapiso can display EXIF information of a JPEG image such as camera model, timestamp, exposure time, focal length, aperture, and more.
It is worth noting that Mapiso leverages the thumbnails created with Mapivi. Although Mapiso is not capable of producing them right now, it can work with the existing thumbnails generated by Mapivi. Mapivi and Mapiso are two separate yet interconnected tools. The idea behind these tools is to use Mapivi for rotating and commenting the images, Mapiso for sorting them into albums, and again Mapivi to develop online image albums that display embedded comments and EXIF information.
Overall, Mapiso is an excellent image sorting application that is both versatile and easy to use.
