Nutridb is a database software that provides nutrition information.
Initially, the website looked very different from what it does today. However, the current version has been revamped to offer improved functionality and a better user experience. The developer had to abandon the project for four years in order to serve with the Peace Corps as an Information Technology volunteer and later stayed in Central America for two more years.
Upon returning to the States in 2007, the developer picked up from where he left off, rewriting the entire tool from the ground up. He aimed to create an open and free nutritional database that could be used by anyone. He welcomes any help to improve the platform and encourages open collaboration from anyone who feels passionately about enhancing the service.
The developer did not come across many free web-based systems that provide similar tools when he first started the development of Nutridb. However, he is aware that now there are many other platforms providing comprehensive tools. He would like for Nutridb to become a central, collaborative community effort where contributors can improve or extend the system by downloading the source code and the database, taking the time to improve it however they see fit.
Therefore, Nutridb is an amazing platform that lets users access everything they need in terms of nutritional information. The website can be used by anyone willing to take the next step in enhancing their health and lifestyle. Nutridb is a great platform that provides everything users need for a complete nutritional experience.
