Openmailadmin is a simple and user-friendly interface that allows users to manage every aspect of their complete IMAP mail server daemon. It simplifies the administration process, making it easy to keep track of emails, user accounts, and other important information.
One of the standout features for me was the non-standard, generic administration hierarchy that separates "normal users" from "administrators" and enables the mailserver-master to create instances between them. This feature allows other users to create their own sub-users, which can either share a single mail server between different organizations or project your company's employee structure.
Openmailadmin also excels with features such as regex addresses and folder ACL management. The software is easy to install and only requires a few modifications to the files before you can begin using it. Simply copy all the files into your DocumentRoot-folder, modify the necessary files by changing usernames and passwords, and create the required database and users in MySQL.
Once you have completed these steps, you can utilize Openmailadmin to its full potential. It is important to note that the software has certain requirements, including ADODB, Cyrus IMAP Server, PHP 5, and Perl.
In the latest release, Openmailadmin adds the ability to write commandline scripts utilizing the software and has an easily-maintainable XML index. In conclusion, I highly recommend Openmailadmin for anyone who is looking for a powerful yet user-friendly administration interface for their complete IMAP mail server daemon.
