Pentago is a strategy game designed for two players. With its abstract gameplay, the aim is to outwit your opponent by strategically placing marbles on the board and rotating sections in order to match four in a row.
To start playing, each player takes turns placing a marble of their color (either black or white) onto an unoccupied space on the board. They then rotate one of the sub-boards by either 90 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise.
The objective of the game is to get five of your marbles in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row. This can happen either before or after the sub-board rotation in your move. If all 36 spaces on the board are occupied without a row of five being formed, the game is a draw.
One of the most exciting aspects of Pentago is the included AI (Artificial Intelligence). This feature adds an extra layer of challenge to the game, allowing single players to compete against the computer.
To run Pentago, you will need SDL libraries and headers. Overall, this game is a must-try for anyone who enjoys strategy games or is looking for a fun and unique challenge.
