Protoeditor is a small KDE text editor developed for debugging scripts interactively.
Version: 1.1 Beta3Protoeditor is a small KDE text editor developed for debugging scripts interactively. Protoeditor's goal is to provide a simple editor supporting a variety of debuggers for different languages.
Operating System: Linux
Currently (beta 0.6), it only supports PHP with the DBG debugger (free version 2.11). For version 1.0, a profiler front-end and other PHP debuggers like Gubed and Xdebug might be supported.
Protoeditor uses katepart as the text editor, so all the functionalities of a good editor are present (highlights, folding marks, etc, etc, etc). This makes the debug experience more pratical.
Besides the editor, it supports common debugger features like: steps, watches, stack/backtrace, breakpoints, conditional breakpoints...
What's New in This Release:
· Added new iconset
· Added implementation as Kate plugin.
