The Shultz Table software can be accessed by clicking on the red Go arrow. The primary objective is to focus on the red dot at the center of the table and maintain that focus.
To begin, the user is instructed to left-click on the red dot at the center of the screen. After doing so, one number will change, and the goal is to quickly identify which number has changed and left-click on it with the mouse. If the correct number is selected, a green circle will appear around the central red dot. If the wrong number is chosen, a red circle will appear instead.
To continue play, the user must again left-click on the red dot, ensuring that the tip of the selection arrow is directly on the dot. In the event that no change is noticed after clicking the red dot, the program recommends softly refocusing on the dot and left-clicking again.
This training is designed to improve the user's peripheral vision and increase the speed of their reading to a level consistent with speed reading techniques. Overall, I found the Shultz Table software to be an engaging and effective tool for improving visual acuity and reading speed.
