Spamato: A customizable spam filter software.
One of the most innovative features of the system is the Spamato Mail Proxy. It enables you to connect any mail client to Spamato by acting as a proxy server. By doing so, mail clients can no longer connect directly to a mail server but to the Spamato Mail Proxy, which fetches the mails from the server and then filters them before they get delivered to the email client. So, what are the steps to install Spamato Mail Proxy?
First, you need to download the latest Spamato Mail Proxy installer from the Spamato web page. Then, you can install it by typing the following two lines. If you're on Windows, you can double-click the jar-file. After successful installation, you can start the Spamato Mail Proxy by executing the appropriate start script for your platform. On the first startup, the system will ask for your email address, which is essential for filtering incoming mails. After that, the server will send you a message confirming that everything is okay.
The system is now ready for use, and if you are working on a supported platform, Spamato has placed an icon in your taskbar. As the next step, you need to configure Spamato Mail Proxy. The Configuration is accessible through a web interface, which you can open by right-clicking the Spamato tray-icon and selecting 'Configure.' Alternatively, you can start your default browser, point it to the appropriate URL, and click 'Proxy' in the menu on the left.
The new release contains several critical bug fixes, including the Move & Duplication bug in Spamato4Thunderbird, the .NET 2.0 bug in Spamato4Outlook, and the Gmail and POP accounts bug in Spamatoxy. Overall, Spamato is an incredible system that has many features to offer, with the ability to provide graphical statistics to reveal the efficiency of each filter and the overall effectiveness of the system. The Spamato Mail Proxy adds to the functionality of the system, making it more efficient and effective.
