SqStat enables the viewing of current user connections to Squid through a script.
To get started with SqStat, all you need is PHP and Squid. Once you have these requirements in place, simply unpack the distribution in your webserver's document root and follow the installation instructions. This involves copying the config.inc.php.defaults file to config.inc.php and editing it to specify your squid proxy server IP and port.
In addition, the installation process requires you to edit your squid.conf file to allow cachemgr protocol access. This involves creating an ACL manager proto cache_object and specifying your webserver IP address to enable access.
Once you have completed the installation process, you can easily access SqStat by pointing your browser to the sqstat.php file. From there, you can customize the script even further by enabling IP resolving and creating a "hosts" file that pairs IPs with names.
One of the newest features of SqStat is the ability to group data by host or username. Additionally, the script now duplicates the stat row on top of the table, making it even easier to access the information you need.
Overall, SqStat is an excellent script that provides an easy, reliable, and customizable way to view active squid user connections. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a newcomer to the world of squid, SqStat is a must-have tool for anyone who needs to monitor user connections in real-time.
