StreamMinder is a GUI that interfaces with MJPG-streamer, a UVC webcam streaming program developed by Tom Stoeveken, facilitating video streaming with a user-friendly interface.
StreamMinder has a few requirements, including Qt 4.x, which is easily accessible, and the installation process is quite simple. The latest release comes with new and exciting features to further enhance the user experience.
One of the significant changes in the current release is the removal of "killall mjpg_streamer" from the constructor. With this, StreamMinder now supports multiple independent instances of MJPG-streamer simultaneously. In addition, several slot renamings made use of Qt's automatic connections, allowing the removal of 8 out of the 13 connect() statements.
The developers also included Qt convenience functions qPrintable() and QDir::homePath() to make the software more readable and platform-neutral. Moreover, they fixed an oversight where the TCP Port spin-box was being ignored and a bug where the file output would use the "-c" (command) parameter even if the line edit was blank.
All in all, StreamMinder is a great software that offers users an easy-to-use interface to stream their webcam. Additionally, the new features in the current release further enhance the user experience, making it a reliable choice for webcam streaming.
