System_Stats_WebView is a software application that reports on system statistics for the device it is operating on.
In order to use this utility, you will need to make sure you have the following requirements installed: Cygwin Base, procps, perl, and apache.
To install the utility, simply copy the tar archive to /usr/local/bin and initiate the command "tar xvf System_Stats_WebView_1.0.tar". This will extract the contents of the tar file to the directory SYSTEM_STATS_COMPONENTS. Next, move the required files to their respective destinations by initiating the command "cd SYSTEM_STATS_COMPONENTS" and copying the files using "cp". It is recommended that you install this utility as a service, which can be done by utilizing the cygrunsrv utility and including the "-c" switch.
Once installed as a service, initiating "cygrunsrv -S SYS_STATS_WEBVIEW" will start statistics collection. Registered users may also contact [email protected] for inquiries regarding assistance in configuring the package.
There are a couple of known bugs in this software. The first is that the message "error on page" will be displayed if attempting to plot the results prior to collecting at least 2 samples. Additionally, resizing the browser window may cause the screen to fail to redraw properly, requiring a manual refresh.
In this release, several modifications have been made including improving the readability of displayed charts, adding support for Firefox, and adding a doc directory containing installation instructions for the Cygwin components required to operate the utility.
