Pastor's Study is a comprehensive software that allows pastors to organize and manage their sermons with unlimited Bible references. It also includes features to manage contacts, counseling notes, visitation diary, prayer list, expenses, and illustrations.
In addition to these features, the Pastor's Study can also maintain a list of all the churches where sermons have been preached, and use a query generator for specific search criteria. Its library section can hold valuable books and other research material, with unlimited subjects cross-referenced to make organizing resources easy. Moreover, users can print a report of all books or organize every resource using the Dewey decimal system.
This software also supports connecting to Library of Congress databases to retrieve book data automatically. The sermon and library data records share unlimited subject definitions, letting users see all book titles with the same subject as their message. To provide a complete package, contact lists with optional bulk email and illustrations, counseling notes, a visitation diary, prayer list, daily journal, personal goal setting, and expense tracking and reporting can be maintained. Counseling notes, expenses and daily journal are password protected.
The program can be installed on a network and is multi-user enabled. The interface is clean, simple and very intuitive, allowing users to shift between sort orders and search fields easily. All list boxes' columns can be hidden if not frequently used, making the interface uncluttered. As reviewed by Terry Wilhite in Pulpit Helps and Christian Computing magazines, the "Help" menu can be used as an owner's manual, just in case you need it.
