Three deck Klondike Solitaire completes the popular trilogy, offering challenging gameplay for fans of the series.
To begin, there are 7 tableau piles containing an ascending number of downturned cards from left to right. The game starts with one upturned card dealt to the top of each pile, followed by 3 more upturned cards dealt to the discard pile. The remaining downturned cards form the stock pile, which is placed at the top left corner next to the discard pile. The four foundations are left empty.
Players may temporarily place cards on the tableau piles before moving them to the foundations. Cards from the discard pile may be moved to a tableau pile if the card on top of the tableau pile is in an alternate color and an immediately higher ranking. Grouped cards can also be moved among tableau piles according to this rule, and the remaining downturned cards are revealed.
Only a K or a group starting with a K can fill an empty tableau pile. If the cards on the discard pile cannot be moved, players can click the stock pile to deal new cards. Once all cards in the stock pile are dealt, players can click to redeal. If there are no moves left, players can click the Give Up button at the bottom right corner to quit.
At the bottom left corner, players can view the time they’ve spent playing and their current score. Completing the game quickly results in a higher time bonus, so speed is definitely key. Overall, a classic and entertaining solitaire game that’s definitely worth trying out.
