The 3.5.x Xinerama enhancements software bundle includes KDE/Qt patches that offer a variety of Xinerama improvements.
This package comes loaded with some exciting features, like the Alt+tab list of windows being limited to a single screen, which is excellent for multitaskers (#86865). The package also provides a shortcut that allows users to move the active window to a specific or other Xinerama screen (#80755), which lets you switch between screens with ease.
One of the most notable features in this package is the possibility of configuring new windows to launch on a particular Xinerama screen (#56827). This feature makes multitasking much easier, as users can now have their windows open on their preferred screen. Additionally, the dialog placement is slightly improved in some cases, further improving the user experience.
Other useful features in the package include newly launched applications appearing on the same Xinerama screen where minicli was shown, the possibility of configuring the active Xinerama screen to be the one with the active window instead of the one with the cursor, and a shortcut for activating specific/other Xinerama screen.
In the latest release of this package, the developers have fixed the wrong handling of the SeparateScreenFocus option. With all these features and improvements, the 3.5.x Xinerama improvements package is an excellent addition to your software arsenal.
