ActionCube is a complete modification of Cube, a first-person shooter video game developed by Wouter van Oortmerssen.
There is no story to follow in ActionCube since the game is all about two teams fighting against each other. The first team is the Cubers Liberations Army (CLA). The goals and motivation of this small but feared terrorist group are unknown.
The organization is made up of a diverse group of individuals, including ex-military, anarchists, religious fanatics, conspiracy theorists, hippies stuck tripping, free software fanatics™, or simply severely mentally disordered persons or bored youngsters. They range from simple annoyances to well-planned bombings, choosing civilians, politicians, lobbyists or religious leaders and their staff as targets, with "Terror for the sake of terror, for you all suck!" seeming to be their motto.
On the other side of the battlefield, there's the Rabid Viper Special Forces (RVSF). This group is an elite group of armed special forces, but not the kind you´d expect. They are battle-worn fighters and mercenaries who might have been just a little too trigger happy and up for glory to fit into any other kind of elite squad. There's not much known about their backers, which is why they remain well-concealed.
Their primary targets are highly unpredictable terrorists and organized criminals such as the CLA where intelligence, infiltration, and stealth would be just a waste of time. Their primary approach to the job is "first shoot, then ask questions, if anyone´s left to ask."
Overall, ActionCube is an exciting and adrenaline-packed game that will keep you engaged for hours. The team-oriented focus keeps things interesting and there's nothing like the rush of going head to head with your opponents. If you're a fan of FPS games, this one is definitely worth checking out.
