"Amateur Radio Logbook" is a Django-based web application designed for logging frequency, mode, and station information. It allows amateur radio operators to easily manage their communication activity and generate reports. The software aids in tracking overall communications consistency and performance.
To test the software, there is a demo server that can be accessed with the username and password "DEMO." These same credentials will also unlock access to the admin interface, providing an easy way to customize the program to your needs.
Initially designed for a scout radio event (JOTA), AmLog has undergone a complete rewrite and redesign to enhance its features and make it more user-friendly. It's now perfect for scouts looking to manage short radio events (1-3 days) and multiple stations in a single room.
One of the most beneficial features of this software is the ability to run it on a single laptop and share it over a network without requiring an internet connection. Additionally, logs can be merged, which makes it easy to manage communications if the group at the event splits into two halves that are in different locations.
If the default SQLite3 is used, backup and transfer logs to devices like pendrives becomes simple. Plus, because it works from a web browser, no additional software is required on the computer running the software. It's even usable on mobile devices with Wi-Fi capabilities like PDAs or PSPs.
Even though it's still in development, AmLog is highly stable and advanced with much more planned for the future. If you're looking for comprehensive and easy-to-use software for your next radio event, AmLog is the way to go.
