Amulab is a graphical tool for PEMU and Dynamips, providing web and application frontends for these technologies.
The Amulab application has the additional feature of asking for IOS for each new device, creating the necessary directory structure automatically and opening console windows for each device in the lab. Whether online or standalone, users can store their topologies in the database at the server or locally in a file, then edit, change, save, and create the most current script for their updated topology remotely or locally.
Amulab supports a wide range of features including 7200, 3640, 3725, 3745, 2691, PIX, FastEthernet, Serial, ATM, Ethernet interfaces, PA-FE-TX, PA-4T+, PA-8E, NM-4T, NM-4E, NM-16ESW, NM-1FE, multilink interconnections, virtual bridge and switch support, and switch port type setup (dot1Q, access).
To use Amulab, you just need Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5 or later. With Amulab, users can easily simulate and test network topologies, making it an ideal software for network designers and administrators.
