AnyBook Classic 3: Publishing Business

I recently had the pleasure of using AnyBook Professional Advanced, which is the flagship program in the AnyBook series. This software is designed specifically for small and self-publishers, providing them with all the tools they need to manage their inventory, create invoices, track customer payments, manage book returns, and much more.

AnyBook Professional Advanced is built on the foundation of its Basic and Professional Standard editions, offering many standard features like customer contact management, browser and email capabilities, weight calculations for orders, bank deposit reporting, back order processing, and versatile export functions.

However, the Advanced Edition takes it to the next level by allowing users to convert invoices and statements into HTML, Microsoft Word, or text documents with ease. Invoices and statements can be sent via email as either an attachment or the text of the message itself. Additionally, this edition boasts an internal credit card processor and telephony features such as two phone dialers (basic and advanced versions) and currency conversion for international customers.

One of the most impressive features of AnyBook Professional Advanced is its built-in royalty accounting system. This portion of the program, which is fully integrated and uses the same data files as the rest of the program, offers over 235 different royalty combinations to accommodate nearly any royalty arrangement. Users can create royalty statements that combine all author advances, payments, subsidiary sales, and other royalty activity into one account.

Overall, I found AnyBook Professional Advanced to be extremely user-friendly, with an extensive help system, sample files, and a guided program tour. It's worth noting that this is a 16-bit program; if you need a 32-bit version, be sure to check out AnyBook Professional instead.
