The Apricots project is a 2D dogfighting game played on a plane.
To run the game, you will need SDL, version 1.2.0 or higher, as well as OpenAL. The developers have recently released an update, with several improvements and bug fixes. For instance, the configuration options have been checked for sanity, and can now be extended to all options during runtime. This means players can easily adjust the settings to their preferences.
The mouse pointer is now hidden during gameplay for better immersion. Additionally, the developers have cleaned up the sampleio class for a more organized look, though there is still one bug present. They have also removed the redundant BORLAND specific options in apricots.cpp.
Of utmost importance, the game speed now works perfectly, thanks to the TICK_INTERVAL parameter. This major fix addresses a bug that had been previously identified. Overall, Apricots is now a more polished and enjoyable experience.
